“J&K’s progress is now invincible”: PM Modi’s historic rail project on Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the inauguration of the Udhampur-Baramulla-Srinagar railway link project on Friday, saying that this step would serve a new artery of development and make the progress of the region invincible.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated a long-awaited Udampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project, which marks a transformational moment in the connectivity and development journey of Jammu and Kashmir.

The inauguration also included two Vande Bharat vehicles, which expect to increase religious tourism, especially for the revered temple of Mata Vaishno Devi in ​​Katra. Shah said in a post on X (East), “These trains will create more power in the homogeneous culture of the region by promoting religious tourism.”

Apart from rail connectivity, new health and road infrastructure projects worth 2,400 crores were also launched. They are expected to dramatically improve public services and increase the standard of living in the center sector.

Udhampur-Sriinagar-Baramulla Rail Link is considered a historical achievement, not only in the context of engineering, but also for its socio-economic impact-strong connections to open new avenues for trade, tourism and mobility between the Valley and the rest of India.
