All-party delegation leader and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said the delegation during his meeting with US vice-president JD Vance, approved the air around the claim of media-Pakistan crisis of US President Donald Trump.
Talking to Annie, Tharoor said that the delegation’s meeting with Vance was a good and he understood his position.
He said, “The meeting with Vice President Vance was outstanding, was very good, very clear. I think we clearly clarified our position on this question of mediation, and Vice President Vance fully understood our points,” he said.
Tharoor said that arbitration refers to the similarity between the two parties. And there can be no similarity between Pakistan, which is an incubator of terrorism, and India is a victim of terror.
“The main point is that arbitration means a similarity between the two parties, and there can be no similarity between terrorists and their victims, among those who are offering terrorists to safely are offering and, on the other hand, multi-party democracy. The place where he is coming is not to save themselves.
Tharoor said that the message of India’s stance on the claim of mediation was understood by Vance and by other levels of US administration.
“And so I think we suggested that this would not be a proper way to see, and the message is very clearly understood by the Vice President and of course at other levels of the system, I think the message is clearly understood,” he said.
US President Donald Trump on 31 May claimed credit for the end of enmity between India and Pakistan, claiming that his administration’s trade talks potentially extended the nuclear war between the two countries.
