Two drug pedals arrested in Shopian, Gandarbal

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the police have arrested two drug pedals in Shopian and Genderbel and recovered the control material from their possession.

On searching, the rods of charas were recovered from his possession (60 grams). He has been identified as Gulzar Ahmed Thokar, a resident of GH Ahmed Thokar, who is a resident of Tumalahal Pulwama.

In addition, during the investigation of Naka in Behma, a police party from PS Genderbal stopped a suspect, who tried to escape from the spot, but was cleverly caught. During the search, the corn husk was recovered from the possession of charas -like charas and a polyethylene bag. He has been identified as Ghulam Ahmed Parra of Ghulam Parra, who was a resident of Bihma, Genderbal.

Both the accused persons have been arrested and they have been transferred to the concerned police stations where they are in custody. Accordingly, cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and further investigation has been initiated.
