Inspector General of Police, Vidhi Kumar Burdi said on Saturday that the upcoming Kheer Bhavani fair has been prepared on June 3 with the main function.
Speaking with reporters, according to the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the IGP said that devotees from various districts of the Puri Valley are expected to attend the event, and the Jammu -and Kashmir Police has made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth conduct with paramilitary forces and traffic management teams.
He said that these arrangements have been planned so that the devotees do not face any issue and their security should be maintained.
Responding to concerns after the recent initiative attack, he said that the police have always made security arrangements and reviewed for the Amarnath Yatra.
He said, “Strict security measures were taken during last year’s incident and this year will also happen.”
