Srinagar, May 30: Secretary School Education, Ram Nivas Sharma, today made a broad journey for various educational institutions working in Srinagar, who were having special conversations with students and teachers.
Director School Education Kashmir Dr. Along with Gun Itu, the Secretary visited SP Higher Secondary School Srinagar, Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh and Middle School Kothibagh. He sought response from students and teachers about the facilities available in his respective institutions.
In the Middle School Kothibagh’s Kindergarten section, the secretary shared moments of joy with young children, which emphasizes the importance of early childhood education and joyful learning environment.
Addressing the students during the journey, the secretary urged them to not only focus on educational excellence, but also actively engage in co-text activities. He emphasized the need for students to embrace modern artificial intelligence era opportunities.
The Secretary also underlined the need to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir through education and emphasized the immediate importance of improving women’s literacy rate. He assured that infrastructure development in schools will be a main priority.
Later, in the day, a review meeting was called in the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, where Sharma held a detailed discussion with the department officials including the Kashmir Division and the Chief Education Officers of other senior officials.
Dr. GN Itu performed a comprehensive powerpoint, highlighting the ongoing academic and non-academic initiatives with major developmental projects in the region.
