Kashmir has reported its first Kovid -19 cases in the current wave, with two women MDS students with a positive test for the Government Dental College (GDC) Srinagar test virus. A health officer said, “They have been isolated according to the protocol,” the two said that the two are touching or are only experiencing mild symptoms and do not need to be hospitalized.

Professor (DR) Sandeep Kaur Bali, Principal of GDC Srinagar, told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the students have been isolated in the college hostel, which has a separate washroom facility for them.

He said that all the employees and students of the college have already received both doses of Kovid -19 vaccine, including booster shot. He said, “There is no need to panic. Kovid -19, in its current form, is appearing as a mild infection all over the country and around the world,” she said.

Dr. Bali said that a student is experiencing light symptoms while no other symptoms show. Both are described in good health, and there is no reason for alarm.

Health experts have urged the public to be vigilant, but are not worried, saying that current stress usually causes a mild disease or no symptoms. He assured that the features have been upgraded since the first wave of Covid-19, and everything to handle any possible growth.
