Srinagar, May 29: Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Dr. Arvind Karvani, today arrangements were being made for the upcoming Mata Kheer Bhavani Mela -2025.
To mention that the Mata Kheer Bhavani Mela is to be held on June 3 this year, this year, on the auspicious occasion of Jyotha Sastmi. The journey as part of the fair will be sent from Jammu at 6 am on 1 June. After a brief stop in Ramban, the journey will proceed to various destinations such as Tulmullah (Gandarbal), Tikkar (Kupwara), Devsar (Kulgam), Manzgam (Kulgam) and Lohgripora (Anantnag) and reach the destination by noon.
Relief organization will provide the facility of transportation of devotees from Jammu as per previous practice.
Dr. Karwani interacted with the concerned district administration of Genderbal, Kulgam, Anantnag and Kupwara besides the members of the temple manager committee and devotees. He reviewed arrangements related to housing, sanitation, logistics, safety and basic facilities for Yatris.
Dr. Along with Karvani, site engineers inspected various transit houses for PM package employees under construction in North, South and Central Kashmir. He also interacted with the employees of the PM package at various places in the valley. They were made aware of the various demands of the employees such as allocation of quarters, basic facilities and education for their children.
The commissioner assured the employees that all their real issues would be addressed in a phased manner.
He asked the engineers to ensure quality work and complete the transit housing so that the possession of the quarters can be given to the eligible employees at the earliest, as per the government set. (KDC)
