Srinagar, May 29: Police said on Thursday that it arrested two hybrid militants with arms and ammunition in the shopkeepers district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Police said two hybrid militants were arrested by the Army’s 44 nation rifle, police, and 178 battalions by 178 battalions of CRPF along with Shalian Imam Sahib along with arms and ammunition.
Police said, “Two 56 rifles, 4 AK magazines, 102 AK rounds and 2 hand grenades were recovered from their possession. An FIR has been lodged against the arrested terrorists under the relevant sections,” the police said.
The Army, Police and CRPF have aggressively intensified anti-terrorism operations in J&K after 22 April, when Pakistan sponsored and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants killed 26 innocent people and a local pony owner with a local pony owner of Pahgam.
