Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chaudhary, today visited Gurdwara Chatti Padshahi in Rainwari Srinagar and paid obedience there.
On the district gurudwara, Bardandhak Committee Srinagar apprised the CM of various issues under the leadership of his president, Jaspal Singh. He demanded the announcement of a holiday on 5 July on the occasion of the Parkash festival of 6th Guru Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji issued by Srimoni Gurdwara Parbandak Committee (Amritsar).
He also demanded an announcement of a gazetted holiday on 30 May, which is a restricted holiday on the occasion of martyrdom Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
While interacting with the members of the delegation, the dye CM reiterated that the government is committed to providing all the necessary assistance to the community to realize its dreams and aspirations.
The dye CM assured the DGPC that he would discuss issues with the officials concerned for the earliest.
While paying obedience, the dye CM prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
