Srinagar, May 21 (KDC): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a formal case against the in-charge storekeeper Ajaz Ahmed Bhat in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS & CA), after a verification, in which the property has revealed that there is proportion to the known sources of their income.
Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat and a resident of Tarzu Sopore, was currently appointed as a depot assistant in the CAPD department, living in Sedik Colony in Baramulla district, Nurabad bypass Sopore. He organized posting at various places in Baramulla for January 1, 2008.
ACB verification found that during this period, Bhat deposited sufficiently movable and real estate in his name and in the name of his family members. These include Estate Ranbir Garh Pratap Garh, a Kanal Bhoomi in Miragand (2008), a Kanal in Nororabad bypass, Estate Novora Kalan Sopore (2010), Ash Arath Housing Colony, Bemina Sarinagar (2014), a dabble-star 800 vehicle in Estate Novora Kalan Sopore (2010), Seven Marlus of Land (Plot Number 240A, Bay 04), a maruti 800 vehicle (JK05B-6670) purchased in 2013 and a Scooty Aviator (JK05D-4662) was also bought in 2013
The investigation also revealed large cash deposits in the bank accounts of Bhat and his family members, which led to further doubt. According to officials, the property and expenditure were odd to the valid income of the furnace, and he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.
After the conclusion of verification, a case was registered and formally investigated. The ACB received a search warrant from the anti -corruption court in Baramulla and discovered at several places associated with the accused. During these discoveries, several increasing materials were recovered and seized in the presence of magistrates.
