Jammu, 21 May: The Department of Jammu and Kashmir Public Works (R&B) has directed physical verification of all shops at the divisional level.
According to an order, the committees have been formed at the zonal level as the Chairman, and the Executive Engineer and Assistant Accounts Officer.
These committees will verify the store records, assess the status of objects, and recommend the disposal of surplus, obsolete or unattainable objects within a month.
Following the GFR guidelines, the procedure will be done under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, and responsibility will be fixed in cases of damage due to negligence or fraud.
