Troubled by India’s diplomatic outreach, Pakistan to send its “peace” delegation to the global stage

Web Desk, 18/05/2025

Pakistan once again scrambled to overcome its image in view of India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, which has highlighted the deep relations for Islamabad terrorism.

In a step to copy India’s recent diplomatic maneuvers, where New Delhi has announced a seven multi-party delegation to represent India on world forums and in hesitant, brief world leaders on Operation Sindoor of Pakistan have also called for a delegation to present their case on the international stage.

This Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) president came on Saturday after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had tasked him to lead a delegation to present Pakistan’s case when the tension between the two countries increased.

Zardari said in a post on Facebook, “I was earlier contacted by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who requested that I lead a delegation to present the case of Pakistan for peace on the international stage. I am honored to accept this responsibility and I am committed to serve Pakistan in these challenging times.”

The announcement reflects the desperate effort to fix Pakistan’s tasty reputation because it reflects its long support for terrorism, attracting wide international criticism.

The Bhutto Zardari delegation is likely to face a difficult battle, as Pakistan’s credibility has been severely reduced by failure to curb terrorism and its anti-counterparts, which targeted Indian citizens as their response to operation vermilion, which laid nine terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan-Kabje Cashmi (Poke).

Earlier on Saturday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced a seven multi-party delegation, who will visit prominent partner countries including members of the United Nations Security Council, in the context of continuous fighting against Operation Sindor and India’s cross-border terrorism.

The following MPs will lead seven delegations: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jadu leader Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP leader Bizaunt Panda, DMK leader Kanimoji Karunanidhi, NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sol, and Shiva Sene leader Shrikant Ekant Shind Shind Shink

“In those moments that matters the most, India units unite. Seven all-party delegations will soon visit the leading fellow nations, which will take our shared message of zero tolerance for terrorism. Beyond politics, beyond politics, a powerful reflection of national unity beyond differences,” Rijiju said on X.

The all-party delegation will project India’s national consent and firm approach to combat terrorism in all forms and manifestations. He used to carry forward the strong message of the country of zero tolerance against terrorism in the world.

Members of Parliament from various parties, major political personalities and reputed diplomats will be part of each delegation.

It came after India’s decisive military response to the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April.

Operation Sindoor, launched on 7 May, targeted the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, killing more than 100 militants associated with terrorist organizations such as Jai-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Tabiba and Hizbul Mujahine.

After the attack, Pakistan attempted drone attacks with the Line of Control and Jammu and Kashmir as well as border areas, after which India launched a coordinated attack and damaged radar infrastructure, communication centers and air areas at 11 airbase in Pakistan. (AI)
