New Delhi, May 12: Indian Army said on Monday that other areas along the Jammu and Kashmir and international border were largely peaceful during the night.
A statement by the army mentions that “no incident has been stated, marking the first quiet night in recent times”. A peaceful night comes a few days after Pakistan’s unprotected firing and later in Jammu and Kashmir and heavy shelling along the international border. There was no sound of drones, missiles, or flying around the jets at night.
For the first time in several days, the local people in the Jammu region, including heavy affected areas of Poonch and Rajouri, had peace.
The situation in the main Jammu city is becoming normal as there was no drone, firing or shelling report during the night.
In Kashmir, at the same time, the fear of flying drones and jets has stopped. In the morning, people were seen walking in Srinagar markets as usual.
Shanta has provided very important relief to the people, allowing them to return to their normal routine.
The Indian Army said, “There has been a large -scale peaceful with the international border in Jammu and Kashmir and other regions at night. There has been no incident marking the first quiet night in recent times.”
Pakistan urged the ceasefire after the Indian armed forces intensified their airbase. India has said that 11 airbase of Pakistan has been destroyed in missile attacks by the Indian armed forces.
On 7 May, India launched air strikes on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan, demolished buildings and killed more than 100 terrorists on 22 April to avenge the Pahgam terror attack. Rattled Pakistan tried to carry out the drone raids and specially targeted Jammu and carried heavy fire on the LoC and the international border.
Pakistan also conducted drone raids along the western border. It was in vengeance that the Indian armed forces gave a tough competition and destroyed its airbase, causing heavy losses to Pakistan.
