Srinagar, May 11 (KDC): Officials said that a major terrorism-demonstration agency (SIA) on Saturday claimed to have busted several sleeper cells in the State Investigation Agency (SIA).
According to a statement issued by the State Investigation Agency (SIA) in the Srinagar-based news assembly agency Kashmir.com, there is a close monitoring of terrorist colleagues and overground workers (OGWS) working in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Valley, as technical intelligence information has revealed the presence of sleeper cells directly in exposure to Pikistan-based handlers.
“Many of these institutions were involved in passing sensitive and strategic information about security forces and important installations through encrypted messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal. SIA said that adequately growing material was seized during the raid, and several suspects were detained for further questioning.
“Initial investigation has clearly established that the identified individuals were actively involved in a terrorist conspiracy, to promote and pursue anti-India stories. The purpose of their activities was to reduce India’s sovereignty and regional integrity, while public disorders, disagreements and communal hatred were upset,” the statement said.
Confirming its commitment, the SIA said, “The agency remains stable in maintaining national security and maintaining public order and will continue to work strongly against all the elements involved in any kind of separatist or terrorist activity.” (KDC)
