PM chairs meeting with Rajnath Singh, NSA, CD, service heads

Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a meeting at his residence on Friday amid growing tension between India and Pakistan.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Dawal, Defense Staff Chief General Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh were among the people present at the Tripathi meeting.

Earlier in the day, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the current security situation. In addition to some military goals, Pakistan reviewed the Indian cities and civil infrastructure a day after demanding a target. The attacks were effectively removed by the Indian defense forces.

The meeting was attended by the country’s top security brass. And Defense Secretary RK Singh was also present.

Pakistan on Thursday night targeted several areas and launched a series of coordinated drones and missile attacks along the western border of India. Defense officials said the attacks were intercepted by India’s air defense systems, including the S -400 missile defense system, which prevents significant damage.

Addressing a joint press briefing, Colonel Sophia Qureshi said that in a major growth with the western front of India, the Pakistani Army carried out several airspace violations and drone infiltrations on the night of 7 and 8 May, which targeted the Indian military infrastructure.

Qureshi revealed that 36 to 400 drones were deployed at 36 locations, many of which were shot by Indian forces using both kinetic and non-knertic methods. Initial investigation shows that the drone was Turkish -made Asisguard Songs model.

“On the night of 7 and 8 May, the Pakistani Army violated the Indian airship several times on the entire western border to target the military infrastructure. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri strongly looked at Pakistan’s “provocative and escalatry works” and said that the Indian armed forces gave a proper reply.

“These stimulating and escalaratry works done by Pakistan last night were targeted on Indian cities and civil infrastructure.
