CM Omar Abdullah resumes office in Srinagar, focuses on governance and development

Web Desk, 05/05/2025

Srinagar, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah resumed the office at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar on Monday, marking the traditional bipolar court after a six -month gap.

Refraining the Civil Secretariat in the summer capital indicates a change in Kashmir of the administration for hot months.

In a post on X, Abdullah emphasized that his government’s priority in the next six months “will have to be taken to ensure that every personal good governance and development are benefited.” He urged the authorities to adopt a result-driven approach and said that the government would resume efforts to address public grievances and to carry forward developmental initiative in the valley. “Let’s count these six months,” the Chief Minister improved his intentions for a brief-track projects and improves service distribution.

A century -old tradition launched by the Dogra rulers, in the court, either transfer the seat of governance between Jammu and Srinagar to avoid the extreme weather of the region. The practice, while often criticizing for its logical costs, is seen as a symbol of unity between the two regions.
