Some desperate families have turned to eating sea turtles as a rare source of protein, with rare of food in the surrounded and war-elastic gaza strip.
Once the shell is removed, the meat is cut, boiled and cooked in a mixture of onions, pepper, tomatoes and spices.
Majida law said, “Children were afraid of turtles, and we told them that it is delicious as delicious,” Majida law said, keeping an eye on a piece of red meat in a vessel on a wooden fire.
“Some of them ate it, but others refused.”

“When the war began, there was a lack of food. There is no food. So (turtle meat) is an option for other sources of protein. There are no meat, chicken or vegetables.”
