Pope Francis was “happy” to get out and about this week: Vatican

Arun Jain, 11/04/2025

Vatican:

The Vatican said on Friday that the Pope Francis was “happy” about this week and about this week but when his health is improving, it is very soon to confirm his participation in the Easter ceremony.

The 88-year-old Catholic leader, who has been recovering from life-threatening pneumonia, has appeared in three unspecified incidents in recent times-on Thursday, with a surprising visit to St. Peter’s basilica-doctors urged him to rest.

Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni told reporters at a briefing, “Pope was walking yesterday morning, asking to go to Basilica to go and expand the walk.”

Francis, who sat in the entire wheelchair, surprised a family of tourists and workers when he was suddenly engaged in restoration, without his pope, without appearing, without his pope.

According to a video published by the ANSA news agency, Argentina’s head was exposed and wore a long -sleeved top, black priest trousers and a striped ponch or blanket instead of its traditional white vest.

He was wearing an entrance – a plastic tube was stuck in the nostril – to help her breathe, but seemed cheerful and stopped to say hello to a child.

Bruni said, “He was happy to go to Basilica and congratulate people.”

Bruni confirmed that the Pope’s outing was one who dropped some Vatican authorities from the guard, he said: “Sometimes things arise with surprise desire, and they surprise us too.”

Basilica’s quick visit followed an unpredictable appearance at St. Peter Square on Sunday at an unlike private audience with King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Since 2013, the world’s 1.4 billion Catholic leader Francis returned to the Vatican on 23 March at Jameli Hospital in Rome.

On Friday, the Vatican said that his voice and dynamics are improving, but it is too early to say if he will participate in the next week’s Easter ceremony.

“There are reforms (in their health) that you are able to notice with outings in the past,” said Bruni.

However, “We are not making any special forecasts for the holy week”, he said that it depends not only on the Pope’s health but also “weather”.
