Pakistan captain Sarfaraz ahmed Undoubtedly is one of the best players in the country. Making his debut in an ODI match against India in 2007, Sarfaraz scored 2315 runs in ODIS, in Tests in 3031 runs, and 818 runs in T20Is. Under its captaincy, Pakistan won the 2017 Champions Trophy title after defeating India in the conflict of the summit. However, Sarfaraz last played for Pakistan in a Test match against Australia in December 2023 and was obviously dropped out of things.

Next to the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League, Sarfaraz also joined Quetta Gladiators as the team director. Recently, he also opened speculation about his international retirement.

In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, Sarfaraz said, “I have not announced my retirement yet. When someone has played cricket throughout his life, it hurts clearly to stay away from the game. There is a time when every player has to stay away from cricket, but I try to make whatever match I receive.”

Keeping his return hopes alive, the 37 -year -old batsman said that if he still gets a chance, he must have been giving his 100 percent.

“I still keep some hope alive that maybe I will get another chance. I never said that I have to play for Pakistan – of course, it is every player’s dream that I represent my country. I just want to perform well, whatever cricket I play and give my 100 percent, I want to perform well,” Sarfraz said.

“When I think the moment has come, I will say it myself – yes, my cricket is over now,” he said.

The 37 -year -old has represented Pakistan in 54 Tests, 117 Odis and 61 T20I, with 6,164 runs in three formats, including six centuries and 32 fifties.

It was under his leadership that Pakistan picked up its first ICC Champions Trophy by overwhelming the arch-rivals India with a surprising 180-run win in a blockbuster final in 2017.

Along with Sarfaraz in the rudge, Pakistan won the 11 consecutive T20I series, the highest by any captain of the country.

Since then, he has gradually found himself on the spot, spoke his time for a possible success. He made his final examination appearance in Australia in 2023.
