The girl dies, 20 more including Pawan Kalyan’s son injured in the fire at Singapore School

Arun Jain, 09/04/2025

Singapore:

A 10 -year -old girl was killed and 20 others were injured on Tuesday, including the son of Andhra Pradesh’s sub -head Pawan Kalyan, a fire broke out at a Shoffhouse in Singapore, where education and promotion classes for children are held.

Six adults between the ages between 23 and 55, and 16 children, including six -year -old son of Kalyan, were rescued from the fire of Shofhouse in the three -storey River Valley Road Building.

Police said the girl died later in a hospital.

“On the basis of preliminary investigation, the police are not suspicious of the foul play. Police investigation is on.”

Some of the saved children were unconscious, their eyes rolled back, and they were badly burnt, the channel cited a personal trainer, an eyewitness Sheikh Amiruddin, who was asked from the fire site on the outskirts of the central business district.

Mark Shankar, the younger son of Mr. Kalyan, faced fire injuries in the school, his Zana Sena Party said in a statement issued in Vijayawada.

The party said that this incident causes Mark’s hands and feet to be jealous, while smoking inhalation also affected her lungs and is currently treating her in a hospital there.

The party said in a Facebook post that Mr. Kalyan will visit Singapore after completing his earlier commitments.

As soon as the fire broke out, some construction workers from a nearby site jumped into action and helped the children to take them down, and Sheikh said that they supported the base of the scaffold that they were using.

The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) was alerted for the incident at 278 River Valley Road at around 9:45 pm. The fire was extinguished with three water jets within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

When the firefighting reached the spot, the blaze was fierce on the second and third floors. About 80 people were evacuated by police and SCDF in the shuffahouse and nearby premises. Twenty affected people were rushed to the hospital, SCDF said at that time.

The last person to be rescued – who he believes that he was a teacher – was seen distressed and crying because he was taken out of the building on a stretcher, the channel had an eyewitness.

The audience, who wanted to go only as Will, said that he saw many women crying and asked the police about the safety of their children. The police then directed women in a separate field to help them further.

Among the construction workers engaged in rescue after watching the thick, black smoke, an Indian original lorry driver, Subramanian Saranaraj was.

Children are being helped by adults on the verge of window, catching their face in soot, he and four of his colleagues grabbed the scaffolding working with a ladder, and ran on the road to help.

He said, “I was scared, but not for myself. I was afraid of children, because they were very young and could not climb on their own. There were many children, and I saw their face, many were crying,” he said.

Videos posted on social media show the children sitting on a third storey as plums of black smoke Bills.

The three -storey building has several educational classes for children, including a cooking school, a theater group, and a robotics school.

Newtonsho employees, children’s promotion centers who had occupied the burnt shffhouse, were assembled in a nearby cafe, next to another branch. According to the channel’s report, he refused to talk to the media.

Newtonsho Orange Mood is subject to the same ownership of Group Education Center, named on the signboard in front of the building.
