An announced on Thursday, “Buy for me” facility is currently available to select users through its Android and iOS app in beta. The e-commerce giant says it is an agent feature run by the native and third-party AI models. Since Amazon is currently testing the convenience, some products of specific brand websites can be purchased only using purchases.

This feature comes a month after Amazon began Listing products from other websites on its platforms in a new section “Shop brand sites” directly designated. This additional, even in beta, allows buyers to see products that do not carry e-commerce giants. If a user likes to buy a product, they are redirected to the brand website.

To use AI-powered feature, users have to search for products that are not available on Amazon and appear with “shop brand sites directly” labels. Once the user taps on an item, they will be taken to a product detail page within the app where they can see the relevant information to learn more about the product.
If the user decides to buy the product, they can tap on the bought button on the page on the page. This will redirect the user to an Amazon checkout page where they can confirm delivery addresses, taxes and shipping fees and payment method. The AI agent then takes over and shopping. The company says that the agent safely provides the user’s encrypted name, address and payment details to the third-party website. In particular, e-commerce giants cannot reach the previous or separate orders from the websites of other brands.
Whereas Amazon will be managed by the third-party website to procurement, distribution, return, exchange and customer service. However, the users will be able to track their order through their order page in purchase through their order page.
