‘Jaws and bleeding’: Stern Goenka highlights ‘Shark Tank’ India judge’s loss as netizens want him to join show

Arun Jain, 23/01/2025

2025-01-23 12:01:00 :

Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Group and billionaire, shares how he loves watching reality show Shark Tank India while highlighting how the sharks on the show run loss-making companies .

In a post on social media platform It’s a great platform for entrepreneurs.”

“But whenever I think about sharks, I think about the movie Jaws and bloodshed!” he added.

The list of sharks includes Shaadi.com’s Boat co-founders Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal, Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl, CarDekho’s Amit Jain, Lenskart founder Peyush Bansal, Emcure Pharma’s Namita Thaoar and SUGAR Cosmetics founder Vineeta Singh.

Anupam Mittal responds

Anupam Mittal responded to the post and claimed that the data shared was incomplete.

“I know you’re joking, so with all due respect sir, I think you’re reacting to data that seems superficial, biased, and incomplete. It’s nice to learn from someone who’s committed, but just to clarify, like Like you, sharks 🦈 don’t bleed red, we bleed blue 🇮🇳 and that’s why we do what we do,” Mittal wrote on the X.

social media reaction

Several social media users reacted to Goenka’s post. Some invited him to join the panel on Shark Tank India, while others made amusing mockery of the show.

One user commented: “Why don’t you join Shark Tank? With your incredible intelligence it would be amazing.”

“Thank you so much sir for sharing the data, now the show lives up to its name,” another added.

“Sir, this startup pays for the CEO’s luxury overseas vacations and expensive cars in addition to a very generous salary. The P&L and investors are not the only things that matter,” one user said.

Another user said, “It’s just like any other TV show now, with judges, contestant performances, emotional stories, fights, laughter, and the overall funding is less than advertising revenue. 90% of people who watched S1 haven’t watched S2, sorry I can honestly say this is based on conversations with friends.”

“Can start a new Shark Tank where you can be a shark,” one user requested.

Another user commented: “The concept presented by Shark Tank India is very good. Will boost the Indian startup ecosystem. But the choice of judges is questionable.”

“Launch new program ‘Harsh Tanks’ – India needs your wisdom,” another added.
