The Supreme Court has stayed the recommendation of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to close madrassas. The decision was taken by a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. The NCPCR had declared madrassas unfit for not complying properly with the Right to Education Act, but the Supreme Court decided to bar this. watch video
