He said he got his first pair of Adidas sneakers as a Christmas present from his brother and said he never looked back from that point on. “So I’ve been a long-time devotee,” he said.

Sunak said he purchased the Adidas sneakers seen in the video. “I did buy the pair (in the video), but I’ve been wearing Adidas sneakers for a long time,” he added.

The British leader, who has also been criticized for the short length of his trousers, said he was “curious and amused by the attention paid to what I was wearing”.
