As summer approaches, the Department of Health has taken proactive steps to ensure public safety amid rising temperatures and potential heat waves. In a recent announcement on related diseases and implement a comprehensive action plan.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said: “There is a need for continuous efforts to raise awareness among people for better management of heat waves as effective solutions lead to effective management.” In meeting. “Prompt, early and widespread awareness raising of preventive measures will go a long way in mitigating the severe impacts of heat waves,” he noted.

Avoid going out between 12 noon and 4 p.m.
Avoid activities in the sun
Avoid cooking between 2pm and 4pm
Do not leave children and pets unattended in vehicles
Avoid alcohol, tea, coffee, sugary drinks and carbonated drinks
Don’t walk barefoot
This comes after the Ministry of Health earlier listed precautionary measures to deal with high temperatures.

Keep your home cool, use curtains, blinds or umbrellas, and open windows at night
