Ewan McGregor talks Obi-Wan Kenobi’s future in the Star Wars franchise

Ewan McGregor reveals if he will return to Star Wars universe as iconic character Obi-Wan Kenobi.

“The truth is, I’ve been talking for years about having to cover for Obi-Wan’s season, and I’ve had to lie about it, and now I’m not going to lie about it,” he hinted.

“I don’t know. So far, Lucasfilm or Disney haven’t called me and said, ‘Let’s do another one,'” dashing any expectations I had, he added.

McGregor continued: “Obi-Wan is a limited series and it’s out there and people love it and I’m very, very happy about that.”

“I hope we get a chance to do another season, and I’m sure we will,” the actor said hopefully, although there’s no update on next season.

Currently, the actor is busy promoting his latest series, A gentleman from Moscow.
