Billie Eilish denies trashing Taylor Swift with wasteful vinyl comment

Billie Eilish has clarified her stance on selling multiple vinyl records after fans thought they were a shadow of Taylor Swift’s.

The 22-year-old singer responded to the criticism on Instagram following the interview billboardwhere she called on artists to contribute to climate change.

“Well it would be awesome if people stopped putting words in my mouth and actually read what I said in that Billboard article,” she wrote on a black background. “I’m not targeting anyone in particular, these are systemic issues across the industry.”

“The climate crisis is here and we are all part of the problem and working to do better,” the Grammy winner added, finishing with a link to her article.

In the interview, Eilish expressed frustration with artists’ “wasteful” practices, noting, “We’re still at a stage where you care so much about your numbers, you care so much about making money.”

“And it’s all your favorite artists doing it,” she added.
