Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said he was already planning for 2047, adding that he never worked for headlines but always ensured deadlines were met.
When asked at an India Today conclave if Prime Minister Modi was already gearing up for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi said: “Look what Modi is. You are stuck in 2029 but I Planning is underway for 2047.”
Prime Minister Modi further mentioned that the mood of the nation today is to make India a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
“Today, the process of celebrating the biggest festival of democracy has begun. At a time when the whole world is facing uncertainty, one thing is for sure: India will continue to grow at a rapid pace. Today, the sentiment across the country is about what India has done to become a world power efforts.” The world’s third largest economy. The mood in the country is to make India a Viksit Bharat. The Prime Minister further said that the northeastern region of the country, which was neglected by the government before 2014, became a priority for development under his government.
“Before 2014, the Northeast region was always a priority. After 2014, we decided that our ministers and senior officials would not only visit the regional headquarters but also the interior parts of the region,” he said.
The Prime Minister highlighted the efforts made by the BJP-led Center in the Northeast over the past decade and said there had been a change in mentality towards the prospects of villages in the region during his tenure.
“Our central ministers have visited the Northeast 680 times. I alone have visited the Northeast more times than all previous Prime Ministers combined. We have changed our mentality. Those who are called the last villages of India, we have changed and started Call them the first villages. 17 of my cabinet ministers visited there and stayed overnight,” he said.
