The party informed through a post on X that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a serious injury on her forehead.
The All India Trinamool Congress shared photos of Ms Banerjee lying in a hospital bed with a deep gash in the middle of her forehead and blood on her face. Sources said the chief minister fell down at his home and was admitted to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata.
“Our President Mamata Banerjee has been seriously injured. Please pray for her,” the party posted on X.

Trinamool Congress president Sukanta Majumdar said in a post on X: “Wish Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a speedy recovery. We pray for her and wish her a speedy recovery. “
