Karachi Kings had a tough night in their Pakistan Super League match against Peshawar Zalmi on Monday. Despite chasing a low target of 148 runs, Karachi Kings were two runs behind. Babar Azam scored a half-century to guide Peshawar past 145 runs. In reply, Karachi Kings’ chase faded away despite Tim Seifert’s knock of 41 off 30 balls. Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik scored 22 off 25 balls bowled by Afghanistan star Naveen-ul-Haq. Malik’s wife Sana Javed, who was also present, was stunned when Malik hit the ball cleanly.

In January, Sania Mirza’s family confirmed that Indian tennis icon and Shoab Malik had separated, a day after the Pakistani cricketer announced his third marriage to actor Sana Javed. Their split marks the end of a high-profile alliance that has generated huge interest among sports fans in both countries. Malik, 41, later posted wedding photos with Sana on the social media platform.

“Sania has always kept her private life away from the public eye. However, today she feels compelled to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for several months. She wishes Shoaib all the best for his new journey ahead!” Read Mirza Statement from the family.

The statement added: “At this sensitive time in her life, we ask that all fans and well-wishers refrain from indulging in any speculation and respect her need for privacy.”

The news comes amid a long history of rumors and speculation surrounding tensions between Malik and Mirza. Mirza got married in April 2010 in Hyderabad, the Indian player’s hometown.

Malik recently unfollowed Mirza, 37, on Instagram, a move that further fueled speculation about marital discord.

They have a five-year-old son, Izaan, who currently lives with Mirza.

Mirza mentioned personal struggles in an Instagram post.

“Marriage is hard, divorce is hard. Choose your difficulties. Being fat is hard. Staying healthy is hard, choose your difficulties. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your difficulties,” she wrote on Instagram Stories road.

“Communication is difficult. No communication is difficult. Life will never be easy. I will always be difficult. But we can choose our difficulties. Choose wisely.”

Sania, hailed as one of India’s greatest tennis players, announced her retirement from professional tennis last year after an illustrious career spanning two decades.

She won six Grand Slam titles in doubles and mixed doubles.
