The Supreme Court today dismissed SBI’s petition seeking more time to submit details of electoral bonds. The committee headed by DY Chandrachud has asked banks to submit information by tomorrow evening.

The SBI’s submissions make it clear that this information is readily available. An application filed by SBI seeking extension of the deadline to June 30, 2024 was rejected.
We have directed a simple disclosure. So it doesn’t make sense to seek time to say you’re going to do a matching exercise, and we’re not instructing you to do that. SBI just needs to open the sealing cover, verify the details and provide the information to the Election Commission.
