Spy cameras, mobile Bluetooth devices recovered from Assam Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh’s cell

In a major prison security breach in Assam, spy cameras, smartphones, and smartphones were found in the cell of separatist leader Amritpal Singh Mobile phones, pen drives, Bluetooth headsets and some other devices.

Singh and nine of his associates are lodged in Assam’s Dibrugarh Central Jail. He was arrested by police in Punjab’s Moga district after weeks of dramatic manhunt.

Giving information about the leak, Assam DGP GP Singh said that all devices have been seized and legal action has been taken in the matter.

“Following information received regarding unauthorized activity taking place within the NSA cells, additional CCTV cameras were installed in common areas of the NSA building. Information received confirmed the unauthorized activity and accordingly prison staff responded early this morning The NSA cell was searched and a smartphone with SIM card, keypad phone, TV remote with keypad, spy camera pen, pen drive, Bluetooth headset and speaker and smart watch were lawfully seized by prison staff,” this a senior police officer said in X post.

“The source and method of elicitation of these unauthorized items are being identified. Further legal action is being taken and measures are being implemented for prevention,” he added.
