If you own a Nothing Phone 1, then there’s good news for you as the brand has announced that the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5.2 stable version is now available for the Phone 1.

Nothing Phone 2 was updated to the same version a while ago, and now Phone 1 has been updated to the same version as well. The update brings a ton of changes and quality-of-life upgrades compared to the current version, and even introduces new features that allow you to customize your device like new gestures.

No content indicates that this is launched in stages, which means “not all users will receive updates at the same time.”

According to the changelog of Nothing OS 2.5.2 launched for Phone 1, the brand has introduced the following changes:

Now you will get a self -defined page of the main screen and lock screen. In addition, you can now get a new “atmosphere wallpaper effect” to achieve interesting transitions. Additionally, you can choose from solid color wallpapers and new monochrome themes.

Additionally, users will now have direct access to the music visualization capabilities of the Glyph interface, and Nothing is also promising comprehensive improvements to light playback when synchronized with device audio.

Speaking of gestures, there’s nothing that says you can customize double-clicking the power button to quickly access functions. You can perform this operation by going to “Settings”> Systems> Gesture. In addition, you can get a new three -finger gesture to quickly cut the screenshot, and even a new screenshot editor with a stronger setting set.

More notable updates

In addition to the above updates, Nothing OS 2.5.2 also brings a new updated weather app, the ability to set ringtones and notification audio independently, a better and more stable camera, improved battery life, and a new widget combination . You now also get a pedometer, media player, and screen time widget.
