The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled on Wednesday that Russia violated parts of a U.N. anti-terrorism treaty by failing to investigate financial support for separatist groups in eastern Ukraine in 2014, but failed to order compensation as Ukraine had requested.
The United Nations’ highest court has refused to make a specific ruling on Russia’s responsibility for the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014, as requested by Kyiv.
