In the previous session, the yellow metal had closed at Rs 63,150 per 10 grams.

Silver also increased by Rs 200 to Rs 75,700 per kg. In the last trade it had closed at Rs 75,500 per kg.

“Spot gold prices (24 carat) are trading higher by Rs 100 at Rs 63,250 per 10 grams in Delhi markets amid recovery in overseas markets,” said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst-Commodities, HDFC Securities.

In international markets, gold and silver were trading at US$2,028 an ounce and US$22.24 an ounce, respectively.

Gandhi said gold prices rose slightly on Tuesday due to safe-haven buying amid unrest in the Middle East.
