The bustling rooftop offers 360-degree views of the Atlas Mountains, and the lobby is a dramatic circular space with a Japanese bonsai tree at its center.

The atmosphere inside is peaceful thanks to the dim lighting and ambient music (there is live entertainment daily during breakfast). The centerpiece of the hotel is undoubtedly its rooftop. The upper deck houses a swimming pool surrounded by lounge chairs, while a bar and rooftop garden restaurant meander around the lower deck. You can enjoy lunch and dinner with panoramic views of the medina and mountains – it’s especially lively at sunset, but club-style music continues into the early morning hours (you’d be forgiven for thinking you were at a beach bar).

Serve

The service at Nobu was excellent and attentive. Check-in is seamless and smooth (your luggage arrives at your room before you do), transfers during your stay are quickly arranged (via affordable local drivers or one of the hotel’s fleet), your coffee order at breakfast is always remembered, and the staff are full of tips and suggestions for your time in Marrakech.

Nobu Hotel has 71 rooms with mountain, mosque or street views. A variety of room types are available, including deluxe junior suites, one-bedroom suites and family suites. All rooms are very spacious, including entry-level rooms with king-size or twin beds, and a small sitting area.

Rooms feature Nobu’s minimalist aesthetic, with soft furnishings in earth tones and a base of wood paneling, furniture and hardwood floors. Moroccan-inspired decor adds character, from textured cushions to embossed wardrobe doors to printed textiles that pay homage to traditional Marrakesh patterns. Naturally, Nobu Marrakech excels when it comes to gastronomy. Breakfast is a generous continental buffet with a variety of Moroccan delicacies. Granola, yogurt and fresh fruit sit alongside meats, cheeses and smoked fish, as well as eggs and omelets. The spa’s menu is extensive – the traditional hammam is a must-do on a trip to Marrakech, but there are also Japanese-inspired treatments (try “Nobu Zen”), skin-renewing facials and bespoke massages.
