Counting of votes is going on for all 29 municipal corporations of Maharashtra including Pimpri-Chinchwad. Voting took place on Thursday 14 January.

BJP is now leading on 77 seats in Pimpri-Chinchwad, while Ajit Pawar’s NCP is leading on 37 seats in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena is leading on six seats.

PCMC recorded 57.71% voting, down from 65.3% in 2017.

Apart from Pimpri-Chinchwad, results will also be declared for 28 other municipal corporations across Maharashtra. These include Akola, Mira Bhayandar, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Thane, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan-Dombivli, Panvel, Chandrapur, Sangli-Mirajpur-Kupwad, Dhule, Ichalkaranji, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Jalgaon, Jalna, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar), Kolhapur, Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Major civic bodies like Nanded-Wagahala are included. Malegaon, Latur, Parbhani, Navi Mumbai, Vasai-Virar city, Solapur and Amravati.
