On Sunday (January 11), a police officer who was sitting in his car outside the station was shot multiple times in a violent ambush.

Sparks can be seen hitting the cruiser before the suspect, 42-year-old David William Lane, drives away.
Law enforcement later located the vehicle and a pursuit ensued before Lane shot himself.
The officer was taken to hospital with injuries. He has since been released and is recovering at home.
