Boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital Nigeria after two of his friends died in a crash, authorities said.
Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele died after the vehicle they were traveling in with Joshua crashed into a stationary truck on a nearby main road. Lagos on Monday.
British heavyweight boxer Joshua was injured but was discharged from hospital on Wednesday, Lagos State Information Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso said.
Omotoso released a joint statement with Ogun State on
“Anthony and his mother paid their last respects to his two deceased friends this afternoon at a funeral parlor in Lagos as they prepare for their repatriation later this evening,” the statement said.
As well as being a long-term friend of Joshua, Gami also serves as his fitness coach, while Ayodele serves as coach.
Joshua, who was born in Watford to Nigerian parents, was on holiday in Nigeria after defeating Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
