Luke LittlerMum slams Alexandra Palace crowd Continuously shushes her son during his world darts championship Won against Rob Cross in the fourth round.

“The Nuke” was too good for former world champion Kroos, winning 4-2 despite the best efforts of the raucous crowd to hold off the defending champion.

When asked about the reception he received, the 18-year-old opted for a fiery response, goading the crowd and thanking them for their contribution to his income, with Record prize of £1 million This year’s champion is twice as many as last year’s first place winner.

“I don’t mind, really, I really don’t mind,” Littler said, then burst into laughter.

“I can say one thing, you pay for the tickets, you pay for my winnings, so thank you, thank you for the money, thank you for booing me, thank you, come on!

“I just saw the statistics but I wasn’t really thinking about anything. I just wanted to win the game. It was hostile and no one wanted me to win, but I proved them wrong.”

His mother Lisa added fuel to the fire, defending her son in the comments of a social media post, calling fans who create a hostile atmosphere “t****”.

One commenter questioned why he wasn’t allowed to call Littler a derogatory term “because he’s only 18” after he chose to “financially mock all the viewers who have paid their hard-earned money.”

Another told Littler to “act like one” as world number one in darts, to which Lisa hit back: “Act like one (two dumbfounding emojis). Best comment so far and I’m sure Luke will continue to act like one as he (sic) completes the vile act of the crowd and makes us all boo the world’s number one idiot.”

Meanwhile, one user lamented, “The more I look at Luke Littler, the more I hate him” – prompting his mother to jokingly respond: “Wow I feel guilty for you (sic).”

Littler, who has been a favorite with the Alexandra Palace crowd since his appearance two years ago, admits he “lost” his mind with his reaction on stage.

“This is my first World Championship and the crowd doesn’t want me to win. I expect the worst on New Year’s Day and whatever happens is going to happen,” he added.
