Bihar government reshuffled bureaucracy, transferred many IAS officers

On Tuesday, December 30, the Bihar government reshuffled its bureaucracy by transferring several IAS officers.

According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department, Sanjeev Hans of 1997 batch was appointed as additional member in the Board of Revenue.

The state government recently withdrew the suspension of Hans, who was in judicial custody for almost a year after he was arrested by the ED in October 2024 in a money laundering and corruption case.

N Vijaya Lakshmi of the 1995 batch was appointed additional chief secretary of the Planning and Development Department, and K Senthil Kumar of the 1996 batch was named principal secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department.

The notification said that Pankaj Kumar of 1997 batch has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Rural Development Department.

Narmadeshwar Lal was appointed Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department and Vinay Kumar was appointed Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department.

Prem Singh Meena has been made the commissioner of Munger division, Manish Kumar as the commissioner of Saran division and Girivar Dayal Singh as the commissioner of Tirhut division.
