police arrived at BJ’s Meat Market in Lake City after reports of a robbery shortly before 9 p.m. ET last Tuesday.

Store employees told authorities the suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Kobe Watkins, was “naked except for his face,” according to a press release from the Lake City Police Department on Monday.

Watkins was also holding a piece of cloth wrapped in what employees believed was a weapon, local media said WCJB the report said.

The outlet said Watkins is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from the store’s cash box before escaping.

Police reviewed surveillance footage, searched the area and located evidence, “including clothing and other property believed to be related to the incident.”

Watkins was quickly discovered and arrested. He was charged with armed robbery, exposure of sexual organs, larceny and criminal mischief.

The suspect was booked into the Columbia County Detention Center following a medical evaluation.

“Incidents like this are disturbing, but our officers responded quickly to secure the scene and worked with our partners to identify and apprehend the suspect,” Lake City Police Chief Gerald Butler said in a statement.

“We are grateful for the prompt assistance of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and the cooperation of the business’s employees in helping us safely resolve this situation,” he added.

No one was injured in the alleged robbery.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said a Tesla driver saw 41-year-old Anthony Day walking naked on the Broken Arrow Trail.
