The following is the full statement from Matchroom Boxing:
Anthony Joshua was involved in a road traffic accident in Lagos, Nigeria earlier today.
It is with deep sadness that two friends and team members passed away, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
Matchroom Boxing and 258 BXG can confirm that Anthony was injured in the incident and was taken to hospital for examination and treatment. He is currently in stable condition and will remain in the hospital for observation.
We offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the families and friends of all those affected and ask that their privacy be respected during this extremely difficult time.
