manager david moyes Admits he doesn’t want to be a paying customer turf swamp After reading his everton The team struggled and drew 0-0 burnley.

Quality chances were at a premium, with Burnley failing to hit the target with all 16 of their attempts, while Everton, lacking creative talent such as Jack Grealish, Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, struggled to seriously test Martin Dubravka in an attack that was often disjointed.

“No,” Moyes said when asked for his thoughts on the game. “I don’t want to come see this myself.”

Everton may have been more pleased with the result given Burnley’s desperate need for points to get out of trouble, but Moyes was unhappy with the performance – even allowing for the side’s absence – with Grealish withdrawing due to illness.

“We’ve lost Iliman, we’ve lost Kiernan so we know we’re losing creativity and not having Jack doesn’t help, so that’s always a challenge,” Moyes added.

“But I really hope we can play a lot better than we did before. This is probably as bad as we’ve played in some games. Our football wasn’t good enough and a lot of things weren’t where I would have liked them to be.

“But, look, if you keep a clean sheet, you take a point away. Burnley never come easy, so we’ll leave with a point and maybe that will prove important later in the season.”

Burnley had the clearer chances, although Jacob Bruun Larsen’s shot may have been wrongly flagged for offside when it sailed over the crossbar, while Zian Flemming may have been wrongly flagged when he hit the post when he was one-on-one with Jordan Pickford at the end.

After falling into a blank again, Burnley only scored 7 goals in the home league all season, and since October 26, it has been 9 consecutive games without a victory at home or away.

Even so, boss Scott Parker Pleased with the team’s effort, they secured their second straight draw after seven consecutive defeats.

“Honestly, I thought we were pretty good,” Parker said. “I thought we showed real effort, willingness and I thought we showed quality.

“I thought we showed a team trying to win. It’s a slim margin and you need to take your chances, which is frustrating.

“I think the positives about this team are seven losses and hopefully breaking the eight-loss record, and in the last two games we’ve shown the hard work and commitment we have with a young team and I’m happy with that.”

Burnley suffered a potentially devastating blow early in the second half when captain Josh Cullen went down clutching his knee and immediately signaled to the bench that he needed to come off.

“Obviously a guy like Josh goes down and immediately signals to the bench that he doesn’t look good,” Parker said. “We’re going to do some further testing on him but at the moment he doesn’t look good.”
