The lawsuit was filed after the Secret Service reportedly failed to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request filed by Judicial Watch in September.

“We do not comment on pending or proposed litigation,” a Secret Service spokesperson told independent. “Any official communication will be through applicable court filings.”

Judicial Watch also filed a Freedom of Information Act request regarding two assassination attempts against Trump during the 2024 campaign.

“The U.S. Secret Service takes the security of our sites very seriously and has redundant layers of security built into each site,” a Secret Service spokesman said at the time, adding that no one with a weapon had ever come into close contact with Trump.
