PTI had earlier reported that a sophisticated terror module led by a group of doctors had been actively searching for a suicide bomber since last year, with Omar-un-Nabi the alleged key planner.

Omar-un-Nabi was driving an explosive-laden Hyundai i20 car which exploded outside the Red Fort on November 10.

Wani was arrested on November 17 on charges of providing technical support to carry out a terrorist attack by modifying a drone and attempting to make a rocket before detonation. Officials said Wani allegedly admitted during interrogation that he had come in contact with the “doctor module” at a mosque in Kashmir’s Kulgam in October last year.
