A 79 -year -old man died after a single vehicle accident in Bomanville over the weekend.
Durham Regional Police says that officers were called to the spot on July 6 after a vehicle going away from the road near Bennett Road, north of Port Darlington Road, around 3:50 pm.
Investigators say the vehicle was traveling west on the Kissingbridge lane, when he got out of the road, passing through a ground, and hit a embankment near Bennett Road.
The 79 -year -old male driver was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead.
Members of the collision investigation unit attended the spot and gathered the evidence and closed the Bennett Road for several hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The police is asking anyone who has seen the incident or is aware to contact them.
