A 76 -year -old man has been arrested on suspicion of administration poison In a summer camp due to which eight became Children Is being taken to the hospital as a precaution, Lesestersresire police Said.
Officials attended the camp by Canal Lane in Stathorn on Monday afternoon, which the children were feeling unwell.
To assess all the children, a triaz center was set up in a nearby village hall with East Midlands Ambulance Service, which was decided to take eight to eight hospitals as a precaution.
Since then each child has been discharged and his parents have been informed.
The 76 -year -old man was arrested in the camp, who was suspected of poisoning with the intention of injuring, and remains in police custody.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Neel Holden said: “We understand that the incident would have understood the concerns of parents, parents and the surrounding community.
“We are in touch with the parents and parents of all the children concerned.
“Please be convinced that we have many dedicated resources deployed and are working with partner agencies including services of children to ensure complete safety to the children involved.
He said, “We remain at the scene to inquire under the circumstances of what has happened and continue to provide advice and support in the area.
“This is a complex and sensitive investigation and we will continue to provide updates to both parents and parents and public and when we can.”
The force stated that it referred to the police conduct (IOPC) to the independent office which he said that “the initial police reaction conditions”.
