A Teacher The school has been banned from the classroom after establishing a group chat with former students to discuss the students of “best looking”.
59 -year -old Antony Jones taught science at Humphrey Devi School Pengance, CornwalWhen he made one Facebook The Messenger Group chats with a previous year 11 physics class.
A teaching regulation agency (tra) Tribunal Heard that Mr. Jones established a group chat with students leaving school in 2019. In the chat of this group, he sent a message asking the alumni, “So who was the best looking girl in your year?”.
He then voted in a survey made by a student, raising a former disciple, with which he exchanged several messages in a “sexually motivated” manner, the panel found.
He asked the student, known as Pupil B, sending pictures of himself and sent many improper messages, including: “You are very photogenic! It translates to be beautiful! Hehe”, and “I felt that you looked amazing for X last night”.
The 59 -year -old also offered to take a 16 -year -old student out for lunch and coffee.
Within the chat of this group, according to the Sri Jones panel, he joined a joke about a former pupil measuring his penis size.
The panel also found that the science teacher told a student that he was “good to estimate the shape of female breasts”, as well as asking her about her personal life and “class romance”. The panel also found that he embraced another student, known as Pupil C.
He also asked a student, referred to as a pupil, “to spend some time with his lowest favorite teacher in maths pubs? … drink on me”.
The panel concluded with all evidence that Mr. Jones had a “hobby” for Putli B, which attracted him to him.
The TRA stated that he was chasing the “remote probability of future sex” and, therefore, concluded that his actions towards Putli B were sexually motivated.
Regarding voting in the pole, Mr. Jones suggested that who looked best, not necessarily who was the most sexually attractive to ask.
However, the panel concluded that the pole was not purely about aesthetics, but it included an element of sexual attraction.
The TRA also found that in the group chat, Mr. Jones “with another teacher with comments about another pupil from his year and another pupil”.
In mitigation, the panel found: “Mr. Jones had entered several charges against him, and expressed an honest apology and regret for any pain he gave to someone else by his conduct.
He said, “He showed some information about the poor decision, which made allegations against him.
“However, the panels were made by the idea that while giving evidence, Mr. Jones did not give complete information in his conduct or assured that it would not be repeated that he should find himself in a similar position in the future.”
Mr. Jones was banned indefinitely from teaching children in any school, sixth form college, relevant youth housing or children in England.
