According to Haryana Police, of those deported, 16 are from Karnal, 15 from Kaithal, five from Ambala, four each from Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra, three from Jind, two from Sonipat and one each from Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak and Fatehabad.
Most of these men are between 25 and 40 years of age. Authorities said they were living in the US without valid documents after entering illegally through multiple countries, often paying large sums of money to human traffickers.
Confirming the development, Karnal Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sandeep Kumar said, “Today, more Indians were deported from the United States, including 50 from Haryana and around 16 from Karnal district. So far, no formal complaint has been filed against any local agent, but officials have indicated that further investigation may expose smuggling networks operating in Haryana and Punjab.

Meanwhile, in a separate but related development, the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has arrested Lakhwinder Singh alias Lakha, a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was deported from the United States after completing legal formalities. According to NDTV report, Lakhwinder Singh, a resident of Titaram village of Kaithal, was handling the extortion and firing racket from the US in Haryana and Punjab under the direction of Anmol Bishnoi since 2022.
According to officials, Singh has a long criminal record and several cases are registered against him in Sonipat, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Kaithal and Ambala. Both Look Out Circular (LOC) and Red Corner Notice (RCN) were issued against him in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
His deportation was achieved after almost a year of coordination between Indian and international agencies.
Officials said the twin developments, the mass deportation and the arrest of a Bishnoi associate highlight the growing scrutiny on illegal migration and organized crime networks operating across the borders.
